Rhino-Turf represents a state-of-the-art range of artificial sports surfaces, designed in the UK to meet the evolving needs of international markets. Our systems combine performance, durability, and player protection, ensuring consistent quality across a wide variety of sporting applications.
We continuously collaborate with players, facility managers, and venue owners to refine and enhance our product range. In addition, we work closely with the world’s leading independent test houses, developing and improving our systems in line with their recommendations to ensure compliance, performance excellence, and long-term reliability
Meet THe Team

Jonathan Gallagher
Founder and Managing Director
My story in business is very simple. I began my career as a professional tennis coach, spending eight years on court before moving into the installation and maintenance of tennis courts. That hands-on experience allowed me to learn the industry from the ground up — from performance requirements to surface longevity and client expectations.From there, the business evolved. In the UK, we have grown to become the market leader in the supply and installation of artificial grass for landscaping through Easigrass. This success is complemented by our specialist sports division, Rhino-Turf, which focuses on the supply and installation of artificial sports surfaces, as well as professional Sports Turf Surface Management services.
I am also the founder of three additional companies in which I continue to hold interests:

- Specialist Sports Surfaces UK
- Xtraction
Today, alongside William, my primary focus is on developing new international markets where there is a strong appetite for our experience, knowledge, and expertise. We thrive on the challenge of working closely with ambitious partners who want to build successful artificial grass businesses.
Internationally, our key focus regions have included South Africa, Singapore, and the Middle East, where we have established strong local partnerships — and the results speak for themselves.

William Allan
International Sales Director
I was brought up in South Africa but left for Europe in 1987 to advance my rugby career, first in Italy and then in the UK. I remain an avid rugby fan and regularly attend international matches to stay connected with the sport I love.I joined Jonathan at Rhino-Turf in 2012 after a period as a consultant for another artificial turf company. Since then, my focus has been on promoting Rhino-Turf globally, with particular attention on South Africa.
My partnership with Jonathan has been extremely rewarding. Together, we have delivered Africa’s first artificial rugby field, multi-purpose sports fields in Singapore, Muscat, and Johannesburg, and contributed to FIFA’s Goal Projects in Africa. Witnessing the impact of these projects — fields being used extensively and communities engaging in sport — highlights the transformative power of sport in people’s lives.
Alongside these projects, I have a strong interest in research and development of artificial sports surfaces. My focus is on designing systems that prioritise player welfare, safety, and performance while ensuring that sports are accessible to everyone, regardless of age, skill level, or location. This commitment drives the innovation behind our products and ensures that every field we create can support high-level performance while encouraging widespread participation.
